TROPICS is a fragmented dance performance amused by the modern constructed culture of comfort. Astounding hospitality and a somewhat sterile atmosphere create an existential space. A physical reduction to increasingly primitive forms of life and forces of nature occur.

Through an emphatically relaxing environment and an over-the-top resort vibe, we witness an arrival at a tropical primordial soup, where basic needs, abundance and – if they still exist at all – authentic desires are reinterpreted. Relaxation and fulfillment are achieved through responsible destruction – with placid indifference. Symbols indicated a culture of pleasure and mindfulness. Turquoise blue, golden salon lighting, elevator music, noise and forcefully content bodies.

Relax, don’t do it

if you want to.
